I’ve stumbled accidentally upon someone’s personal web page on MySpace and there was this quote set in large letters: “Never make someone a priority when they only make you an option.”. Oh, how timely and relevant this anonymous advice is!

When I came to Bucarest in March I didn’t expect to get back here so quickly. This time it’s middle of summer, so it was pleasantly hot. And we did get a more than fair share of Romanian hospitality. Folks from the office here treated us with dinner and a tour of the city. (more…)

Sofia by night is a rather limited experience. Few major streets are decently lighted; smaller ones are dark and uninviting. So we wandered around the main shopping street, Vitosha, from a park on one end to an orthodox church on the other. In the park there were some people walking near nicely lighted fountains. And besides the big church there was something really strange – a very small and old orthodox chapel, squeezed into a shopping passage between two major streets. It looked like a refugee from another time that forgot to run away and was surrounded by those who took its place. (more…)

The morning didn’t bring anything new. But it’s good to have friends, talking to them helps put things into new prospective and move forward. And that’s exactly what happened. So, I think I’ll go & have some sleep now. I have another post brewing in mind, but it’ll have to wait till the morning.
